Product lines are often changing in an evolving market place and meeting the needs of your customer is vital to your success.
New products grow on average of 25% every year, and it is new products that create big demand in the market place. Having the storage capacity to bring those new products to the market place without eliminating products that are still in demand is the key to building higher sales volume.
Space Optimization - Start thinking in terms of:
POSITIONS and FACINGS
Understanding pallet shelving for your cold storage room is vital to establishing the size of your cold room. Often many operators will inquire about square feet rather then pallet positions. A number of factors need to be considered when reviewing the quantity of pallet positions and ‘facing’ that you will require.
• Positions represent the actual number of pallets you will be able to store in your cold storage rooms.
• Facing pertains to the amount of pallet that you will have direct visible access to as you draw pallets from your pallet rack.
Further space optimization can be achieved by upgrading the pallet racks into Push-back Shelving.
Structural & Sheer Support
Pallet shelving also can play a major roll in providing structural and sheer support. While our panels can span 28’ outdoor and 36’ indoor without any additional support our pallet racks shelving can provide additional structural support and sheer support outside when panel sizes exceed our span criteria.
Additionally pallet shelving can provide evaporator coil support when coil weights surpass ceiling panel capacity or if the roof of the building cannot support any weight.
